Dear, you have a good heart.
You go around giving love. You spread warmth and kindness everyday.
You give off radiant rays of sunshine to those you meet. You care for every person dear to you. You look at them with grace. You have a good heart.
But hey. Times come that you’re feeling down. You feel like the love you gave isn’t enough.
“What have I done wrong?” “Is it not enough?” “What else could I do?”
You feel like your love is not reciprocated. It’s not even appreciated. You hold unto yourself tight and teach yourself a lesson. You decided that you should stop caring and stop loving.
I know that it hurts, yes? But see, loving is so much greater than the sum of all the hurts that you’ve had.
Oh dear beautiful friend, there’s Someone who sees you valuable. Someone who loves more than anybody else, yet was rejected Himself. Someone who gave everything, even His life, to demonstrate His love, and nobody saw it.
Yet He sees yours.
While your love is not given back, while your love is taken for granted, while you think you’ll soon be empty, please don’t give up. Rest but don’t stop loving continuously.
Rest in the truth that Jesus never gave up on you, He did not gave up, He was not afraid.
He did not throw that cross away in the middle of the road. He did not stop the soldiers from beating Him up. He boldly showed his love for you on the cross.
Because you know what? Love conquers everything. Love transcends anxieties and fears. So don’t stop in the middle of your journey. Continue loving while resting.
This time, love unconditionally.
Love because God showed you how love is really done.
Love because you are first loved by an eternal love.
Love because you are full of it and it’s overflowing.
Love because that’s how we can honor God.
Love is patient and kind.
Love does not envy or boast.
It is not arrogant or rude.
It does not insist on its own way.
It is not irritable or resentful.
It does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never ends.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Love. And love more.
Somebody who’s trying to love unconditionally
